Ron Moffitt, Ph.D., P.E. (SC)

Dr. Ron Moffitt received his Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Moffitt has over 20 years of industrial polymer processing experience in the areas of fiber and film extrusion and converting. He is a member of The Society of Rheology, The American Chemical Society, The Society of Plastics Engineers, and a Registered Professional Engineer (SC#19093).
Currently a Virginia Tech Research Associate Professor, and Director of the Advanced & Applied Polymer Processing Institute, he holds 10 U.S. patents with several more pending. Dr. Moffitt's research interests include polymer structure-property-processing relationships and polymer process modeling.
